Laura Russ

Ms. Russ is the ECE teacher here at St. Luke’s. She was called here in 2014 to restart the 3K/4K combined program with 11 students.  Since then, God has richly blessed our program with many little lambs.  Ms. Russ also coaches volleyball and plays organ here at St. Luke’s.

Ms. Russ went to Northland Lutheran High School and then on to Martin Luther College.  She graduated in 1994 and was called to teach K – 4th grade at Mt. Olive in Bay City, MI.  After a few years, Mt. Olive combined with Bethel where she taught 3rd-5th for 4 more years.  During her years in Michigan, Ms. Russ attended CMU and SVSU to earn my Michigan state teaching license and her Master’s in Classroom Teaching.

After a move to WI, she began working at Sylvan Learning Center as a lead teacher and program director.  Ms. Russ worked at the before and after care program at Peace Lutheran in Sun Prairie and ran an in home daycare. During this time, she also took classes to earn a WI state teaching certificate.  After several years, Ms. Russ began working at Windsor Wishing Well as a district 4K teacher.  Finally, she was called to St. Luke’s.  Ms. Russ has 4 wonderful children, Kayla, Julia, Nicholas, and Lucas.
